Business Developer

The Business Developer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market research services and the ability to identify client needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target potential clients in need of market research services across various industries, including retail, healthcare, finance, and more.
Client Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and how Ethos Market Research’s services can support their business objectives.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets, identifying new opportunities for growth.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with the internal research and analytics teams to develop customized proposals and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing our unique services such as ethnic panels and specialty services (e.g., automotive car clinics, mystery shopping).
Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with prospective clients, ensuring that terms align with both client needs and company goals, and close new business deals.
Market Intelligence: Keep a close eye on industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure Ethos Market Research remains competitive and can identify gaps or emerging opportunities in the market.
Client Retention: Work closely with existing clients to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services and maintain long-term partnerships.
Reporting: Track and report on sales performance metrics, ensuring transparent communication with leadership on progress and pipeline management.
Collaboration: Partner with marketing, project management, and research teams to create aligned strategies that support business development initiatives and client needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the market research industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of market research services, including qualitative and quantitative methodologies.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales pipeline management.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Knowledge of multicultural research and ethnic panels is a plus.
