The Survey Programmer is responsible for building, testing, and maintaining high-quality online surveys, ensuring flawless execution, data accuracy, and seamless collaboration across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Survey Programming & Testing: Program, test, and troubleshoot online surveys to ensure accuracy, functionality, and seamless respondent experience across devices and browsers.

Project Execution: Manage multiple programming projects from setup to delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are consistently met.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, quality analysts, and data teams to ensure survey logic, data structures, and quotas are correctly implemented.

Technical Consultation: Advise internal teams and clients on survey design, question logic, skip patterns, and platform capabilities to ensure optimal execution.

Quality Control: Conduct rigorous QC checks on programmed surveys, data files, and translation overlays to minimize errors and uphold EthosMR’s quality benchmarks.

Process Adherence: Follow internal workflows and documentation standards to ensure consistency, version control, and smooth project handoffs.

Continuous Learning: Stay current on new tools, technologies, and best practices in survey programming to improve efficiency and data quality.

Issue Resolution: Provide timely support for technical issues encountered by respondents or internal teams during survey execution.

Reporting & Improvement: Contribute to process enhancement and automation initiatives within EthosMR’s technology and data collection functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience programming online surveys in the market research industry.

  • Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.

  • Hands-on experience with Forsta Surveys (Decipher) or similar platforms (e.g., Sawtooth, Kinesis, VoxPopMe).

  • Working knowledge of SPSS, tabulations, or API integrations is an asset.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote, cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and quick turnaround.
